DESCRIPTION:A Spiritual Homecoming\nOn October 11 we will begin worshipping in the Sanctuary and Faith Hall. For many of us it will feel a bit like a homecoming. We will be worshipping together inside the Church for the first time since March 15. We will have worshipped 29 Sundays at home or just outside of the Church! There are plenty of people to thank for helping us through the last 6+ months. Our worship team\,\nthe people behind all the technology necessary\, those who have helped us calculate capacity and needs related to air filtration\, and of course all of you who have continued to tune in rather than drop out and continued to give to our ministries generously. It has all been possible because we did it together and didn’t give up on one another.

SUMMARY:Sanctuary Open for Prayer\, Reflection and Meditation
DESCRIPTION:We are inviting our SUMC family to come to the church for a time of Personal Prayer in the sanctuary.\nBeginning September 17 the Sanctuary will be open and available every Thursday from 10am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm for a time of prayer\, reflection and meditation. If you have longed to return to the SUMC sanctuary\, we invite you to take the opportunity to come and participate\, and ask that you follow the guidelines below. \nTo ensure everyone’s health and safety\, the following protocols are in place: \n\nEnter and exit the church through Door 10 (need to check the number- the door by gathering area)\nFace masks are required in the building\, and hand sanitizer will be provided.\nYou will be greeted by a host.\nDevotional materials will be available to you (yes?No?Maybe?:-))\nThere will be designated seating areas in the sanctuary. Couples or family members may sit together in one area.\nThe number of people in the sanctuary at any one time will be limited to 10.\nSince all hymnals and Bibles are removed from the pews\, you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own Bible.\nTake as much time as you need\, but also please try to be aware of others who may be waiting outside the sanctuary.\n\nPlease note that only the sanctuary will be available during this time.

DESCRIPTION:Thank you to Everyone who helped with the July Mobile Food Pantry. We served 101 Households\, 232 Individuals\, 92 Seniors\, 18 Veterans and 57 Children. We would like to thank Prairie Farms for their Dairy Donation and Family Farms LLC in Byron Center who supplied the produce. \nThe next monthly Mobile Food Pantry will be Wednesday\, August 19 at SUMC from 4:00-5:00pm. \nAll volunteers are asked to be at the church by 3:00pm. Masks/scarves must be worn and if anyone needs a mask\, please let Wanda Barclay or Kellie Meyer know. Gloves must also be worn and we will provide those for you.
